The College of New Caledonia (CNC) welcomes the community to explore the possibilities of post-secondary learning experiences at Open House events on March 4 in Burns Lake, Fort St. James, Mackenzie, Quesnel, and Vanderhoof and March 5 in Prince George.
CNC’s Open House offers an experiential educational experience where participants can engage in interactive course demonstrations, tour campuses, meet lecturers and faculty, explore programs, receive information on a wide-range of personal and academic student support services such as: academic advice, accessibility supports, financial aid, aboriginal supports, student housing, admissions and registration processes.
CNC President and CEO Dr. Dennis Johnson said post-secondary has never been more important than it is now and continue to be throughout the next decade. According to the B.C. Labour Market Outlook 2021 Edition, an estimated 1,004,000 job openings between 2021 and 2031with 80 per cent of those requiring some form of post-secondary education or training.
“With the right education, opportunities will open for you,” he said. “CNC’s Open House event enables you, family and friends to explore CNC programs, make important personal connections with administration, faculty and student support staff who will be available to answer your questions, and to give you the information you need to make the right decision about your future.”
CNC’s Open House events from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 4 in Burns Lake, Fort St. James, Mackenzie, Quesnel, and Vanderhoof and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 5 in Prince George.
Get more information on CNC’s Open house and preregister on the event page. Those who pre-register will have their name entered to win a $500 credit toward their tuition. All who attend will also receive a waived application fee and will have a chance to win one of three $1,000 tuition vouchers.
You are encouraged to pre-register, however if you are unable to do so you are still welcomed to join in the events by stopping in anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at any of the designated campuses. Free parking is also available during the Open House.
