The CNC Library has launched Can-Core Academic Video and Films on Demand. You can access these through the library’s Video Streaming Databases webpage.
Patrons can view thousands of videos, including films and documentaries, from well-respected producers like the BBC, HBO, and PBS from any internet-enabled device. This is licensed content that is difficult to find online without going through a paywall. The content will support learning on a wide range of topics including First Nations, health care, trades, and much more.
The content is available digitally through the library website. Students and faculty don't have to wait for others to finish viewing a title before gaining access to it. Everyone can use the content simultaneously from anywhere, 24/7.
These services also allow users to post video content on other online platforms to improve discoverability and encourage sharing. It's an example of how CNC is making the most of new technology to help students and faculty achieve academic success.
If you have any questions about Can-Core Academic Video and Films on Demand, please reach out to our friendly librarians. They are happy to show you how to find and use these and many other resources to incorporate into your studies and teaching plans.
