On March 16, 2020, BC’s Minister of Health Adrian Dix and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry identified a significant number of new COVID-19 cases related to the Pacific Dental Conference 2020 held at the Vancouver Convention Centre on March 6 and 7, 2020. Anyone who attended the conference is being asked to self-isolate until March 22, 2020.
Minister Dix and Dr. Henry also issued a new order prohibiting all public gathering of more than 50 people. This includes indoor and outdoor sporting events, conferences, meetings, religious gatherings and other similar events.
