Admissions Testing

Student Readiness Assessment (ACCUPLACER)  

Many programs require English and/or Math skills for admission. You may be required to write a Student Readiness Assessment (SRA) if:

  • You have not taken the required English or Math courses listed in your program's admission requirements.
  • You have been out of school for several years.
  • You are an international or out-of-province applicant.

 

 Taking your Student Readiness Assessment

You must have a current CNC student number and have applied for a CNC  program to write the test. The test fee is $21.00 and must be paid prior to taking the test. There is an additional fee of $42.00 for virtual testing.

*SRA results are valis for one year.

Students that do not live near one of our campuses should contact the Prince George campus for information about taking the Accuplacer test online.

Rewrite Recommendations

1st rewrite-two weeks after first attempt

2nd rewrite-90 days after first attempt

3rd rewrite-30 days after third attempt

* Students are encouraged to seek support from tutors in the Academic Success Centre if they do not meet the required scores for their program. If students wish to retake the test earlier than the recommended rewrite date they may do so.
