Last week, we celebrated the incredible achievements of the class of 2025 at Convocation at both the Prince George and Quesnel campuses. Please join us in congratulating this year’s graduates on reaching such a significant milestone. These graduates are amongst more than 100,000 CNC alumni who contribute to our local workforce every day.

Urban Bear Research – Get Involved!

CNC Research Forest is working with the Northern Bear Awareness Society on a research project to learn more about how urban bears live in Prince George. Students can help by safely sharing photos or video of bear activity (like tracks or sightings) along with the general location. Your contributions support local science and help promote safer human-wildlife coexistence.

Construction in Progress: Noise & Access Updates for Students

Construction activity continues at CNC’s Prince George campus as part of our energy-efficient upgrade project. Crews are working on various exterior walls, and you may notice elevated noise levels and temporary detours in some areas.

You're Invited on a Guided Walk: Land, Culture & Wellness

Join CNC staff and students for a meaningful guided walk in Prince George on June 19, 2025, from 1:00–3:30 pm, along the UNBC Greenway Trails to Shane Lake (Forest for the World). Led by an Indigenous Cultural Advisor and a Natural Resources and Forestry instructor, this inclusive experience blends Indigenous knowledge with ecological science to deepen your connection to the land. Transportation from CNC is available.

This welcoming walk encourages reflection, conversation, and cultural connection through shared teachings and storytelling. Please bring your own water, sun protection, bug spray, and snacks.
