Former Lejac Site Search
The Nadleh Whut’en First Nation has identified 23 potential burial sites at the former Lejac Indian Residential School using survivor stories and ground-penetrating radar. Named "Nez Keh Hubuk’uznootah" ("Let’s Look for Our Children"), this work honors the 7,850 children from over 70 Nations who attended Lejac between 1922 and 1976.
CNC urges reflection on Truth and Reconciliation and our shared colonial history. Let’s support one another, stand with the Nadleh Whut’en, and remember CNC wellness supports are here to support you.
