Accessing your CNC Phone while working from home
You can access your CNC Phone (local) from home a few different ways as detailed below.
In most cases, call forwarding or having access to check voicemail will be sufficient.
Checking your voicemail
If you are using the Avaya one-X Communicator, you can check your voicemail via that console as normal.
If you have setup call forwarding, voicemails will still be saved to your desk phone, not your call forwarded device.
To retrieve your voicemails:
- Call +1 250-562-2131
- Enter 5848 when you hear automated greeting
- Enter your mailbox (local) number when prompted
- Enter your password when prompted
We can set up email notifications for voicemails with an option to include a copy of the voicemail message, if you would like this functionality please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your local and the email address you would like the notifications delivered to.
Call forwarding your work phone to a cell or land line
You can call forward phone calls from your work phone to a cell phone or land line:
Already Offsite or have no access to desk phone
We can manually set an unconditional call forwarding from your desk phone to a cell phone or land line. This will be hard coded to your line and must be disabled by IT Services when you are back at your desk to receive calls normally.
This is the preferred method if you do not plan on using your personal phone otherwise.
If you require this functionality, please email email@example.com with your 4 digit local and the phone number you would like it forwarded to.
Still have access to your desk phone
We can add a button to your desk phone that will allow you to enable or disable call forwarding as necessary.
If you desire this functionality, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your 4 digit local and the phone number you would like it forwarded to.
Once this process is complete you will have to use the EC500 button on your phone to turn on the forwarding.
