Anwen Roberts

Anwen Roberts' interests in art and science converged into a path of learning how to design for the web. She is self-taught, having honed her knowledge of web design for several years through online tutorials and open-source resources, as well as through experience and feedback. Although she's an artsy sort of gal, Anwen's enthusiasm for good design/GUI and marketing have propelled her into maintaining literacy of the nitty gritty backend coding of modern web design so that she can translate her visions to (digital) reality.

Anwen enjoys other artistic pursuits such as graphic design, photography, writing, and drawing, and less enriching (but equally fun) activities like playing video games and watching horror films. On the other side of the brain, she loves philosophy and science, and would one day like to publish a comic which would popularize scientific ideas in a fun and readable way.

Five things you probably didn't know about Anwen

1. She was born in Wales, and her full name is Arianwen Goronwy-Roberts. She prefers her full name, but thinks that making people say it -- or even just remember it -- is kind of mean. 
2. Owned a pair of fainting goats while growing up.
3. Her first job was breaking in horses at 14. She still enjoys horseback riding, although now the horses are more likely to break her.
4. Bungee jumped in Queenstown, New Zealand.
5. Has a title in the UK
