Professional Cook graduate Cassidy Helps won three awards for excellence at a year-end ceremony recently.
Twenty-seven graduates from the Prince George campus attended the celebration at the where they received their certificates.
Helps earned the best overall student award, best practical student award and the best team player award.
Besides Helps, five of her classmates also won awards of excellence, handed out by Chefs Ron Christian and Tony Reichsteiner.
Amber Conlon won two awards – best menu and top theory.
Shawn Fowler won the most employable award while Cory Hill won the most improved award.
Melanie McLaren won the best attendance award, while Anna Brink won the hospitality award.
Over the course of their year, the students supported a variety of community and college events, including CNC’s annual Global Gourmet Fundraising Gala.
