From CKPG CNC And Faculty Reach Tentative Contract

The College of New Caledonia and its Faculty Association have reached a tentative contract. The tentative contract provides a two-year deal for more than five hundred faculty at the College.

Some International Students at the College are shoeless today. They are encouraging others to walk a day without shoes to highlight the plight of millions around the world. Their mission doesn’t end there.

Black History Month officially gets wrapped up today. A local artist had his art displayed at CNC. Gerald Furgeson has displayed his art in the College of New Caledonia Library for the whole month. His Art Display called ‘Common Ground’ is exhibited for the second time to celebrate Black History Month. The first was back in 2006. He is trying to show that the difference in people is what makes them equal. That translates into his view of Black History Month.

Another first for the North. The BC Cancer Agency for the North and the College of New Caledonia have formed an alliance to help patients. It’s specific to one form of service and it’s the first partnership of its kind.
