Guide to Library Services for Distance/Off-Campus Users

The College of New Caledonia Library is a region-wide resource, open to students and to the public. Library cards are free.

The Library provides access to a wide range of print, media and online information and offers many special services, such as reference, interlibrary loan and document delivery.

Campus Libraries

There are 6 campus libraries in the College region with collections and networked computer stations. If you are near a campus library, please use the library as your first point of access.

If you are unable to access one of these libraries, or would like individual assistance, please contact the Regional Librarian in Prince George by phone or e-mail. The Regional Librarian can help you with your research, conduct searches and obtain books, journal articles and other information for you.

The Library website at http://www.cnc.bc.ca/library/  provides connections to

• library catalogue
• other library catalogues
• journal indexes, with over 28,700 online full-text journals (CNC users only)
• web reference tools and top-rated search engines
• web subject resources, faculty-recommended 

Access the website from any campus workstation. If you have an Internet connection at home, or if you are using a Public Library, School Library, or other external Internet connection, you can access most of the resources on the site except for the journal indexes and full-text databases, which are licensed for CNC users only. If you have a current CNC computer account, you will be able to login with your username and password, and access all of these resources from home (click here for more information about CNC accounts).
