Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW)
Job readiness for older workers wanting to re-enter the workforce or change careers.
The 12-week TIOW program is designed to provide and upgrade skills to work effectively in today's workplace. Accepted students will receive a daily training allowance based on attendance. Students will be accepted based on eligibility requirements and an interview to be conducted by program coordinators. Successful students will receive several certificates throughout this program.

Admission Requirements

55 - 64 years old (50 - 54 and 65+ may be eligible)

Must be unemployed (can be on EI)

Legally entitled to work in Canada

Living in the Lakes District

Lacking skills needed for new employment
Fees
This is a FREE program; students will receive a training stipend of $70/day based on attendance
